Admissions tuition · secondary school subjects

A method, not a course.

Troupe prepares candidates for the UCAT, STEP, TMUA and ESAT — the reasoning papers that decide medicine, mathematics and the sciences — alongside core secondary subjects. Our tutors sat these papers within the last few cycles and scored in the top band. Every session they teach is measured. A pupil is asked, not told.

The method

A small bench. A long view.

We keep the bench small — one or two learners at a time — and the supervisions long. Each candidate is read closely, set work that stretches, and made to reason aloud: if you can teach the move, you own it. Every session is rated against a rubric, and a coach audits the record. No scripts. No cohorts of hundreds. No unobserved hours.

Why Troupe

Four principles.

Asked, not told.

Supervisions run on questions. The candidate does the thinking; we hold the standard.

A small bench.

Few pupils, read closely. Progress is noticed, not averaged into a cohort.

Reasoning before recall.

We train the move the question is testing — not the answer sitting beneath it.

Observed, every session.

A private tutor is watched by no one. Every Troupe session is scored against a rubric, and a coach audits the record. The standard is held in the open.
